34 Weeks Pregnant October 14, 2009
34 weeks! Amazing! Time just keeps ticking by!
This week I have been concentrating on getting together lists of things we will need for the birth, things we still need to buy and things for after the birth. Also have been working on updating our registries at Amazon.com and babycottonbottoms.com in case we have a baby shower. Dunno yet if that is happening or not.
Here are my lists: (hopefully things will be getting crossed off in the next few weeks!!!)
Put Together for Birth:
Birth-
- Laborade ingredients
- Birth ball
- Crock Pot
- Ginger Root
- Large bowl
- Shower curtain liner (2)
- 2 sets of clean sheets
- 3 towels
- 8 washcloths
- Heating Pad-electric
- baby wipes
- 2 plastic grocery bags
- 2 large, plastic bags
- Chux-1 package (26″x32″)
Baby-
- Digital Thermometer
- 8 cotton receiving blankets
- baby diapers
- baby wipes
- 6 sleepers or nightgowns
- baby socks
- 3 baby hats-more for winter
Things for After the Birth:
- Pads
- Peri Bottle
- Tucks?
- Witch Hazel
- Nursing pads
- Comfrey Tea
Still Need to Buy/find:
- laborade ingredients
- ginger root
- birth ball
- shower curtain liners (2)
- another set of sheets
- electric heating pad
- baby wipes
- 1 package of 26″x32″ chux
- Peri bottle
- Tucks?
- witch hazel
- nursing pads
- nursing bras
- baskets for holding diapers etc.
- extra batteries for camera
To do:
- Organize above birthing stuff
- wash diapers
- clean/install carseat
- prepare freezer meals
- bottle of olive oil
- pack diaper bag?
- wash bassinet and changing table sheets
- string birth beads
Probably still missing a lot… but it’s a start!

6 MONTHS! Can you believe it?
So once again, I don’t have much to report. Been feeling a little down this week, but that could be from life-type circumstances and not necessarily baby related.
Been having a little bit of heaviness in my lower abdomen and wondering if that is baby weight that I am starting to feel?
Names that we are looking at this week are:
Juniper, Pepper, Cayenne, Basil and that’s all I can think of at the moment. We are really enjoying the thought of Pepper…What do you think?
Pregnancy Week 22 July 19, 2009
5 1/2 months!
So this week there hasn’t been that much going on other than the wonderfulness of watching my baby kick from the outside! So awesome!
I am in dire need of some exercise, but it is so hot here and really hard to get outside! I am trying to do my yoga, but it is quite impossible when everyone else is here and using the living space!! 
I do have another ultrasound (probably my last) up in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, so will let you know how that goes!
I have also been having tingling weirdness in my left side when I try to lay on either side. It really sucks and keep me awake sometimes. My midwife told me to sleep on my back if my sides are causing problems, but it is hard when everyone else keeps saying that sleeping on your back is extremely bad for the little one. So that has been a bit of a dilemna…
Anyway, this week has been great and I can’t wait to see what comes of the coming one!
21 Weeks Pregnant July 12, 2009
Over halfway! I seriously can’t believe it! (Mostly because I really don’t think I look very prggers at all.. just a little chunky around the middle. *I say this as I make a batch of chocolate chip cookies

Although the belly is still gearing up to grow, I did have one exciting thing happen this week! My husband felt the baby kick!!! He was really excited and so was I cause SOMETHING is happening! It really made it more real for both of us!
Been listening to the Pregtastic podcasts lately which have been quite informative. For example, I had no idea that you were supposed the get the carseat saftey checked once you put it into your car! Did you know? Seems pretty simple to strap one in, but I guess I underestimated it!!
On Thursday I made another baby quilt which was fun. This one is much MUCH more girly, so lets hope a girl pops out eh!? LOL! Although, I now know 3 other girls in our family that are having girls too, so if the babe happens to surprise us, I have others to give the girly stuff to.
